Use the Nordic ID Wedge Service as your background Android service for collecting RFID and barcode data from your Nordic ID reader.
Supported functionalities of the Nordic ID Wedge Service are RFID scanning and barcode reading.
The Nordic ID Wedge Service supports Nordic ID USB, Bluetooth Low Energy, ethernet and WLAN readers.
The app allows you to adjust settings to fit your needs, e.g.
trigger button behavior, automatic start in the settings view.Download the Nordic ID Keyboard via the keyboard picker button or enable it as default input method.
Start the Nordic ID Wedge service app via “Start Wedge Service" button and connect your Nordic ID reader by selecting “Setup connection” button.As a prerequisite Nordic ID Keyboard needs to be installed on your Android device and set as a default keyboard.
